On Sunday 27 September the museum opened its doors to the public by offering pre-booked guided tours. They were well attended. Visitors enjoyed seeing a wide range of historical items together with explanations about how they worked. A breakout room was provided where there was an exhibition comprising many items not on permanent display – visitors were encouraged to handle the items.

Feedback from the visitors was very positive with high levels of satisfaction expressed.
