Medal to commemorate the 150 anniversary of the Wheeling Suspension Bridge. Plastic mounted in blue foam. Yellow metal.

Obverse: view of bridge, edition number (‘0168’) stamped under with circular legend: ‘WHEELING & BELMONT BRIDGE COMPANY.’

Reverse: stylised view of bridge with legend on 5 lines: ‘WHEELING / SUSPENSION / BRIDGE / 150 YEARS / 1849-1999′

A  note has been iserted in the case with the lettering “Presented to Dr Roland Paxton for his contribution of a paper to the 150th nniversity [sic] Wheeling Bridge conference, Wheeling, Ohio, 1999.’
