Description
“Addiator” £.s.d. (pounds, shillings, pence and farthings) adding machine. It is an example of a slide adding machine, a simple mechanical device for addition and subtraction. “Addiator” was the brand name of the German manufacturer (often used as a generic term for similar devices). Image 2 shows the pull-up metal cap fully extended: this resets the machine’s registers to zero.
