Description

10 in engineers’ slide rule made by AG Thornton, Manchester (c.1955). A conventional log/log slide rule used for multiplication division etc.

The initials PIC are derived from the former Precision Instrument Company which was taken over in 1901 by AG Thornton of Manchester. “PIC” continued to be used by Thornton as a trade mark until about 1970.
