Ivory 6 in scales (12 No) in fitted wooden box (c.1905). Inlay in ivory at side of box providing an index of the scale sizes: ¾ x 1½, ¼ x 1″, ⅛ x ½, 30 x 60, 10 x F, 20 x F, 50 x F, 40 x L, 50 x L, 1/500, 1/2500 and 6 to M. Used for measuring from or plotting on plans.
Inside the lid there is silk padding with a makers crest on gilt device showing the makers name and address (WF Stanley & Co Ltd).
