Description

Casio fx-85WA SVAPM electronic calculator with slide cover (c.1985). The display is on two lines SVPAM, with larger and more easily read characters. Power provided by solar cell and one LR44 battery. Inside the slide cover is a quick reference guide.

SVPAM stands for Super Visually Perfect Algebra Method. SVAPM lets you input formulae just as they are usually written longhand.

The donor, Mrs Loch, is the widow of Norman Loch former lecturer at Heriot-Watt University.
