The “Portable Test Pitometer & Recorder” comprising inter alia manometer, recorder, hose connections, hydrometer, hydrometer jar, filter papers, U-tube funnel, calculation book, pen, pen filler and ink.
The device was used by water engineers to measure and record water flow for analysis (see Image 5).
The item was used by Edinburgh Corporation Water Department in 1957. It was rescued from a skip (c.1970).
