Base parts for a “Y” level made by T. Cooke & Sons Ltd, York & London for The Hughes Owens Co Ltd, Montreal. The parts comprise: the trivet, tribrach, four foot screws and clips (to secure a telescope [not present]).
In 1915 Vickers acquired a controlling stake in T. Cooke & Sons Ltd and in 1922 Vickers merged it with Troughton & Simms to form Cooke, Troughton & Simms.
