Description

Chain-of-Office for the Chairmen of the Scottish Branch of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) comprising a medallion and 27 nameplates. Made in 925 sterling silver by Robert Horn, Glasgow. The medallion is inscribed with the word “SCOTLAND” at the top, the logo of the CILT in red and blue enamel and thistles inscribed at the foot. Of the 27 nameplates 10 are inscribed with the names of Chairmen covering the period since its inception in 1999 to 2018. The Chain was worn by the Chair at CILT Scotland committee meetings, hosted events and the Annual Dinner.

The Chain was retired following the adoption of a new logo by CILT(UK)

In 1999 the Chartered Institute of Transport and the Institute of Logistics joined to become the Institute of Logistics and Transport. Susequently, in 2004, “chartered” was adopted into the title.
