Description

5¼” Floppy disks (2 No) in paper sleeves.

The donor, Dr Steve Wallis, was formerly a lecturer in Water Engineering at Heriot-Watt University. He writes:

These were used by myself in the late 1980s to the mid 1990s at Heriot-Watt University. One is formatted for a BBC Microcomputer; one is formatted for a DOS-based microcomputer such as those made by Microsoft, Dell, Elonex, Hewlett Packard etc. I used them for storing word processing documents, files for specialist water engineering software (e.g. WATNET & WALRUSS) and for storing data from laboratory and field experiments.
