Description

5 in micrometer tacheometer with protected scales divided on silver each with 2 micrometer eyepieces reading to 10 seconds of arc. 3-screw levelling head (1928).

Used for measuring horizontal and vertical angles; and horizontal distances in land surveying (by measuring the intercept of a pair of stadia wires on a staff); and for setting out works.
