Portable road lamp
Portable road lamp in tinned iron with red glass windows in each of four sides, one of which opens to give access to the burner (which is missing); projecting vents at the sides of the chimney which is marked “CITY ROADS”; carrying handle above.
Used for the lighting of temporary road works.
This lamp was exhibited at the “Exhibition of Civil Engineering Works”, Glasgow, 21 September – 23 October 1977.
