Description

66 ft chain of flat steel wound on a cruciform holder and with brass handles (lacks one handle pin). Divided into 66 ft on one side and 100 links on the other. Secured by a leather strap.

Used for measuring distances on land or structures. Being as strong as a chain of links it is lighter more compact and easier to use.
