Description

Steel washers (2 No) used in conjunction with a pin and nut to secure the suspended truss to the Forth Bridge cantilevers. Made and kept as spares.

The washers are of slightly different dimensions. One washer has an external diameter of 483 mm, a central hole of 229 mm and a width of 79 mm. The other washer has a diameter of 483 mm, a central hole of 216 mm diameter and a width of 79 mm.

This item is related to the pin and nut – see items 2013/020 and 2013/021 respectively.

This item is on loan from the National Railway Museum, York.
