Description

Section of wrought iron from the demolished Caputh Bridge erected by William Arrol (demolished 1993) parts of which are reputed to have been recovered from the ill-fated Tay Bridge after its collapse in December 1879. The word “COATS” (in raised lettering) is clearly visible on the item.
