Description

Artillery Director No 7 Mk 4.

Although designed for military use, this instrument was used by Professor Paxton in his early career with the Municipal Borough of Sale during the 1950’s. He used it to set out small projects and on a survey of caves. Although not as accurate as specialist surveying instruments it could be used where high levels of accuracy were unnecessary.
