Steel band chain 100 ft on a cruciform frame
Steel band chain 100 ft on a cruciform frame made by G Hutchison and Sons, Edinburgh. Brass handles with maker’s name and length inscribed. Small plate riveted to inside of chain has etched “STANDARD AT 68 F / WITH 10 LBS PULL”.
It was rescued from a skip (c. 1970).
