7 in Hilger & Watts SL71-1 “autoset” level in grey enamelled aluminium. Green metal case with leather carrying handle. Used for measuring vertical distances between points in conjunction with a levelling staff.
There is a label inside the lid by D C Elks & Son Ltd, Sherbourne, Dorset stating the level was “repaired and adjusted” on 13 March 1970.
