Hilger & Watts microptic theodolite with detachable ray shade. Three screw levelling head. Green enamel. Used for measuring horizontal and vertical angles in land surveying and for setting out works.
The box is not the original box for the instrument. A label inside the box lid relates to instrument number 190791.
