5 ft three fold measuring rod in wood, brass tipped with brass spring joints. Divided on both sides into eighths of an inch. Black, inches and eighths in white, feet in red. Made by Stanley, London.
This rod is clearly marked “CITY ENGINEER’S DEPt PORTSMOUTH”.
