Full size model of a cross-section through the Forth Road Bridge’s main cable. This model was donated to the Museum when the Forth Bridges Visitor Centre Trust was wound up in 2012.

At this time the model was on loan to the Visitor Centre from National Museums Scotland (NMS). The Forth Estuary Transport Authority (FETA) retained the item for a while but the loan was called in by NMS before it came to the ICE Scotland Museum. The model is currently on display on a wood stand as touch object in National Museum Of Scotland – Level 3 – Science And Technology, Technology By Design.
